AXEL

Axel is just a big teddy bear, so affectionate and very easy to handle even for newbies. He leads and stands well, barely bats an eye when he gets hot shoed by our farrier (he wears steel fronts). He prefers to go out on trails and is a comfortable ride. He will go alone or with other horses.

Under saddle he tends to be lazy and is very soft in the mouth. We often ride him bitless. Axel has a few fancy buttons including a walk-to-canter and should not be ridden by a beginner as it is easy to push the wrong buttons. He does not want to be a lesson horse or spend much time in the arena at all unless it is very large.
