COOPER

March 2025 // Cooper is a calm, willing gelding perfect for a beginner or child. He can walk trot lope in the arena and is good on trails. Due to his need to build muscle his rider’s weight maximum should not be more than 130lbs including tack.

We found out Cooper used to be a barrel horse! He has been used in lessons here and ridden by capable children and smaller adults. Cooper rides bitless.

Adopters should be prepared to provide all of Cooper’s feed, he cannot sustain on grass/hay due to limited, aged teeth. We currently provide 15lbs/day of grain and soaked alfalfa pellets in addition to free choice hay/grass.

He has great ground manners, stands for vet and farrier well. He is good in new environments, and loads with encouragement and patience. He is not spooky and gets along well with others in his field.
